Useful utils

dmesg(8) - display the system message buffer
uname(1) - display information about the system
ifconfig(8) - configure network interface parameters
netstat(1) - show network status
named(8) - Internet domain name server (DNS)

ping(8) - send ICMP ECHO_REQUEST packets to network hosts
traceroute(8) - print the route packets take to network host
ipfw(8) - controlling utility for IP firewall and traffic shape
